What Not to Pack When Moving
The following items are examples of items moving companies, including New City Moving, cannot transport according to federal law and internal policy.

Household paint

Lighter fluid
Gasoline
Fireworks
Compressed air cans
Propane tanks from grills
Automotive repair and maintenance chemicals
Other Non-Transportable Items
Firearms
Food in glass jars and perishable foods
Lighter fluid
Prescription drugs needed for immediate use
Other items not recommended for relocation by movers include:
Documents regarding your move
Identification including Social Security cards, passports, driver’s licenses, and state ID cards
Cash
Important personal documents such as financial statements, deeds, titles, wills, etc.
Family photos
Collections (i.e. coin collections, stamp collections. etc.)
Jewelry

Juan and team were fantastic! Absolutely great move from Downtown to Wrigley area. Terrible parking options and no elevator at the new place but the crew was excellent and handled it all with ease. On time, professional, friendly, will definitely use them again!

Jovany and his team were literally INCREDIBLE! They came in at 8am to pack up our entire apartment and load our U-Haul and we’re done in 3.5 hours. They packed everything so well and wrapped all of our furniture. I was so impressed with how quick, efficient, and professional these guys were. I booked New City for my move from South Loop to Hyde Park! I can’t say enough good things about my mover Juan Juarez. They showed up a little early to pick up my things and they were very fast and careful with my things. They ended up getting everything moved into my new spot within 2 hours! Please book New City if you need a moving company!

New City has done a few moves for me over the years and I have always been satisfied. This past move was handled professionally. We had an issue with one of my items being dropped and they stepped up and covered the damage their employee caused. Shit happens during a move and I was thrilled that New City made me whole and did the right thing.
